Now as far as iOS 17.2 beta 3, we could expect that as soon as tomorrow based on what we’ve seen in the past. We could have that tomorrow or Wednesday, even as late as Thursday, since we had beta 2 on Thursday last week. We could have that very soon though. We have talked about this in detail in a separate heading about iOS 17.2 beta 3. So if you want to read then you can read when iOS 17.2 beta 3 can be released.

iOS 17.2 beta 3:

Now I want to talk about the expected release date for the next beta and the official release of iOS 17.2. So the next beta, iOS 17.2 beta 3 will most likely become available this upcoming week here. So today is Tuesday the 14th. We can expect Apple to release the next beta this week. Apple has been on a two weeks release schedule, but at some point they’re going to be switching to a weekly release schedule and I think this will be the week.

So we can expect the next beta most likely tomorrow, the 14th or the 15 November. Keep in mind, iOS 17.2 will most likely release towards the beginning or mid December. Now when it comes to official release dates, I think iOS 17.2 will be available on Monday, December 11 or at least on the week of Monday, December 11. So we can expect iOS 17.2 to have maybe two more betas or one more beta. The RC an official release here in the next couple of weeks.

iOS 17.1.2?

Additionally, we could see an iOS 17.2.1 maybe to fix that Wi-Fi bug we’ve been waiting. For, that we know is fixed in iOS 17.2, but Apple hasn’t addressed yet. There’s some small bugs and Apple’s really getting things settled with iOS 17. But one thing we’ve been waiting for for a long time is iOS 17 sideloading. This is to comply with rules in the EU, and according to Mark German in his latest power on newsletter, he mentioned Apple will start allowing users in the EU to sideload apps to comply with local laws.

Us this will start in 2024 and apparently the system that controls side loading will be highly controlled by Apple, but you’ll actually be able to do this. We saw some documentation from Apple recently updated showing that this could work along with some code in iOS 17.2, so they could be getting ready to get this going for the EU. Hopefully we’ll see it outside of that, as side loading isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

We can do it on Macs, we have been able to for years, but we could just go outside the App Store. Hopefully. If not, it will be specific to the EU. Now. Not only will sideloading affect things such as the App Store, but it could also impact iMessage, FaceTime and Siri and additional incorporated apps, maybe the camera and much more.

So we’ll have to wait and see if those laws force Apple to do that. I would still love to see iMessage incorporate RCS, at least since that’s sort of a standard at this point. But other than that, I don’t know that they necessarily need to be forced to do it, but it looks like those things will take place along with side loading.

Iphone 16:

Now, as far as iPhone 16, we are hearing a little bit more from that. And this also goes along with IOS 18. It’s not expected to get as many features where iOS is expected to leverage the neural engine or AI chip on the Pro model for those new features in iPhone or iOS 18.

With the iPhone 16, we are expecting to get maybe an additional button instead of just the action button, and this is actually being called the capture button, but we don’t really know what that means according to different early leaks. Maybe it goes along with AI or some of the new features with iOS 18, but it would be specific to the Pro models as well.
